Description: A three-dimensional non-linear finite element model was usedto study the effect of blade curvature on tillage tool draft. Two types of curved tools were considered. Thehyperbolic constitutive model was used in the analysis. The results from the finite element model show that the draft decreased with increasing curvature for a constant tool angle at the soil surface, and increased withincreasing curvature for a constant angle at the furrow bottom.
