Description: In this study, the techno-economical analysis of germinated lentil based extruded products was carried out. Consumer awareness towards the healthy snacks food adds the importance in germinated extruded products. Lentils are pulses having high amount of protein and other macro and micro nutrients, and germination proved to increase the bioavailability of nutrients with less investment. The germination of two lentil varieties was carried out for the development of extruded products and techno-economical analysis and breakeven analysis were performed. Extrusion of germinated red lentil had more profit (17.8%) and less BEP (2.9 years) as compare to germinated green lentils. Extrusion of germinated lentil flours with corn may be a viable option for small scale industries.
