Description: FarmBot is an open source Cartesian coordinate robotic system used for small-scale ?farming. This paper presents the design of the 3D model of the Farmbot using Matlab Simulink ?toolbox. The proposed 3D model is utilized to test and evaluate the third order feedforward trajectory ?profile in X, Y, and Z directions. A PID controller is designed for controlling the motion trajectory of the ?Farmbot robotic system. The proposed PID controller is evaluated using the 3D model. Results from ?the feedforward and PID controller are compared in transient and steady state response. ?Feedforward controller showed a better motion performance compared with the PID controller. ?
