Description: A new solution to the transient-state drainage equation for drainage computations was presented. This paper reports the development of this solution by using Galerkin's Method and a comparison of it with the well-known Glover's and Tapp and Moody's solutions. It was concluded that the proposed equation gives better results than Glover's or Tapp and Moody's equations for normalized time less than 0.01.
