Description: The design and testing of an event interface for a commercial, portable data acquisition system, specif ically the 12-channel Omnidata Easy Logger System, is summarized. When connected to the Easy Logger System or its equivalent, the event interface increases the number of channels available for use as pulse or event counters from only 2 to 32. Though originally de signed to record low frequency tip rates of several tipping bucket flow measurement devices, the event interface can be used for a variety of event-type applications.
