GF2 Programs Targeting Water Footprint of Agricultural Producers in Alberta

Authors: Tenove, M.
Description: Growing Forward 2 (GF2) is a federal-provincial-territorial partnership with a mandate to drive an innovative, competitive and profitable Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector. Many jurisdictions across Canada have developed their own flavour and suite of GF2 programs. In Alberta, GF2 is delivered through 22 programs that reflect an increased focus on three areas: research and innovation, competitiveness and market development and adaptability and industry capacity. Improved resource management is well represented in the areas of improved water security, management and protection. At the midpoint of the GF2 term (ending 2018), an overview of agricultural producer targeted programs is provided.
